Challenge #3 Blog
First of all a strong feature needs to have a compelling story, that is easy to follow at the same time. The reader or audience must be hooked with a line in order to be drawn in to the story. Brett had one of the top submissions and it's obvious why. The story is compelling and well written, but most of all the voiceovers, editing, and camera work is all very high quality. You can tell he spent a lot of time working on the video. That's why the winning videos are the winning videos. You get out what you put in.
There are many important things that are critical in having a good flowing and interesting news story. Interesting shots must be taken that use the six shot system. This engages the audience, because boring shots can draw away viewers. Audio is very important to give insight on the situation being broadcasted about. Audio can make the shot scenes mentioned above more interesting. Good audio also invokes what the newscaster is saying in a clearer manner. A strong concept is the most important feature needed to produce a successful story. People want to hear about crazy, or even tragic things happening around the world. That's a big reason why news stories are often about unpleasant things. This draws in a larger audience. Voiceover work is what gives personality to the story. Good voiceovers that get to the point sooner rather than later, are a great way to keep the viewer's attention. A strong beginning gets the viewer engaged automatically. The middle is to convey this original starting point. The end is to wrap up the story and leave a final note.
These are the most important objectives one must follow when attempting to create an interesting, flowing story. Following these steps will leave no room for wrongdoing in the long run. Keep in mind also that the story should not be too long, as the reader and/or audience will get bored and look at another article or change the channel.

Our first video project was to film a short 30 second video about safety. The concept that we came up with was elevator safety and how to get down stairs if you have an injury, or something like that. We began with our storyboard which I'll admit we could've worked harder on. We also didn't stay very true to the original storyboard in the final video.

1 in 2000 blog:
Our main focus on this project was to interview Noah about his achievements, and what its like to be a part of cross country. We asked him all sorts of questions regarding the subject. We were originally going to interview Gaige about soccer but due to some "setbacks", we switched to Noah instead. We decided to film in the events entrance area, because we were running out of time, and all the other optimal locations had been taken. Our previous location was at a table in the commons but there were people filling up the table. We new from the beginning that we wanted to do an interview about, which was what sports we were involved in.
My role was to ask the questions in the interview. I don't really like hearing my own voice but I took up the job anyway. Alex R thought of the questions, and Noah was the one being interviewed obviously. Gaige was gone a few days so he didn't help on the Noah interview part. A very big problem we had was noise in the background. There were janitors setting up something behind us, and our video quality was greatly hindered by this. Next time I would work on getting our video done faster, and letting teammates know to mention beforehand if they'll be gone. I think we did ask a good variety of questions which is something we will definitely do next time.

  Why Animation?
Because I don't like graphic design.

FINAL for eCOMM

The project was that our group had to make a product for real life use. Our project took the whole time to make, and we worked on it until the very last day. A challenge we faced was doing the video and it took some time to make, editing the video was also hard. I learned on the was that time management is key to success, and leads too a better quality project. We were given mostly positive reviews, and I think those reviews fit perfectly, with the effort we put in our project. Originally our commercial was going to be shorter but we decided to add some humorous audio at the end. I think at the beginning of 4th quarter I worked very hard own the project, but I felt less involved by the 4th rotation of the class. We were given mostly positive reviews, and I think those reviews fit perfectly, with the effort we put in our project. If I can remember right, our  commercial was going to be shorter but we decided to add some humorous audio at the end.

This quarter I think for the most part I used time wisely in class. Toward the last rotations however, I didn't do as much and I was less involved. For the first few rotations I was very focused and on task. I helped group members out whenever I finished things early. I thought of most of my ideas outside of class.

I think my strength was thinking of creative ideas for the group. I thought of the logos design, and thought of ideas for the video.
I think an area of improvement would be time management, because I didn't work with my group as much as I could've.
My favorite part about this semester was making new friends and working on the project. If I could change anything I would change our product because I don't like it, and it is pretty useless to say the least. The big thing I learned was quality over quantity. My goal next year is to be a harder worker, and to help the program more as a whole. I think this was a great semester and I really like e-Commhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iZo7dUqK0kQhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MvPlRjWoLvw

     10 Words Blog
For my 10 words the first one I picked was creative. I think I am pretty creative and I enjoy doing many things with creativity. The second word I picked was athletic, because I like playing sports and being athletic. The third word i picked was funny because I make people laugh a lot. I picked more words after that that I think accurately describe me. My favorite part of the project was creating a background, and giving the words animations to come in with.
Personality Type blog post:
Today we took the personality type test. My personality type is ESFP, which stands for extrovert, sensing, feeling, and preceptive. I am an outgoing person who is willing to meet new people, which means extrovert. I am sensing which means I look at the facts, but I believe I also I can be creative, with interesting ideas. I am also feeling, which means I like to be hands on with the situation. It was pretty cool answering the questions to figure out my personality type.

BouncingBallPost- Today I finished my bouncing ball animation. The first step was to make the background, which we made using layers. Then after that we created the ball, and the several animation layers to make it bounce. Then putting the layers together made the animation play out.
It was fun seeing the ball bounce up and down and I'm excited to do more projects like this in the future. I made the ball blue, because it is my favorite color. I saw everyone else making a blue sky, so idecided to make it a sunset to spice things up. I just did the normal green grass bottom. I enjoyed this project overall and I am excited to work on more animations in the future.
